Gold Standard initially launched for the purpose of preparing financial projections for various entities. But business quickly flourished and we soon realized the need to expand into other fields of financial services. 

This allows us to offer the full financial spectrum: Tax, Bookkeeping, Payroll, and Business Consulting. 

The professionals that stand behind the Gold Standard name not only are degreed and licensed, but are also exceptionally passionate about the work that they do. 

Meet the team below. 

Rachel Rubin has been working in the tax and accounting field for over 12 years, and founded Gold Standard Tax & Accounting in 2014. Her desire to create her own firm started with the need to see clients treated fairly, and that need spurns on everything the business touches. 

She was born in San Diego, California and relocated to New York about four years ago in order to expand her volunteer work. She has a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from San Marcos State University of California. 

Her favorite part about working with this team is that she is able to view each member as a part of her family. 

Candace Matthews has been working in the tax and accounting field for over 12 years, and has been working with Gold Standard Tax & Accounting since it's inception. Candace became a CPA in 2014, and her attention to detail makes her an incredible asset to the team.

She has a Bachelors in Accountancy from California State University Northbridge.

When she isn't preparing taxes, she enjoys reading novels, learning languages, and painting.
